Creative City Forum 2023

DIGITCRESHE, an EU-funded project focused on digital literacy and empowerment, celebrated a significant achievement at its latest event hosted by Universiteti Barleti in collaboration with Mediterranean University of Albania and Center for Comparative and International Studies #CCIS. The event took place in conjunction with the Creative City Forum—an annual gathering of professionals in the Creative and Cultural Sector (CCS) on 13 December.

The DIGITCRESHE Project!

Exciting news from our recent meeting! 🚀 CCIS partnering in a new Erasmus+ project🏆 The DIGITCRESHE project is making strides to enhance the quality of Higher Education programs for the Creative and Cultural Sector (CCS) in the Western Balkans. The focus is on ensuring student satisfaction, boosting graduates’ competitiveness in the job market, and implementing digital transformation through innovative educational tools. The project will analyze current CCS higher education status, industry trends, required skills, technology usage, and more. 🎓🌐 Let’s empower our creative minds and shape the future of the cultural and creative industries together!
Curious about how it all begins? 🤔 The baseline analysis is the key! 🗝️ It involves collecting data on the current state of the creative and cultural industries and higher education in CCS. This one-month initiative, combining desk research and 10 online interviews with experts, academics, students, and professionals, will provide a solid foundation for the project. The resulting national report, featuring an executive summary, detailed findings, analysis, and conclusions, will guide us toward achieving meaningful goals in the realm of education and creativity. 📊📚 Let’s build a brighter future together!

The COST Action “Comparative Research on the Executive Triangle in Europe (CoREx)”

Today in Brussels, CCIS participated in the kick-off meeting as the Committee member for the COST Action “The Action Comparative Research on the Executive Triangle in Europe (CoREx). The Center for Comparative and International Studies is a dedicated participant in advancing Albania’s European integration journey. Our European Vision is a comprehensive, multifaceted process that enriches our society, fosters collaboration, and enhances research capabilities. We prioritise strengthening connections with European research networks and institutions, actively partnering with prestigious organisations and universities across various domains, including social sciences, technology, sustainability, and innovation. As part of this mission, we are proud to be a member of COST Action “The Action Comparative Research on the Executive Triangle in Europe (CoREx),” supported by the EU. This initiative critically examines the relationships among executive politicians, top civil servants, and ministerial advisers—the executive triangle—from a global comparative perspective, addressing a critical knowledge gap that affects democratic governance’s core components, including the legitimacy of political decisions and the government’s capacity to tackle complex policy challenges. Our contribution to systematic comparative knowledge of the executive triangle is a significant step towards a better understanding of democratic governance, especially in challenging times.
