The Center for Comparative and International Studies (CCIS) and Luarasi University held a coordination meeting to advance the implementation of the CORE-ED Academy project, focusing on the development of one of its key academic deliverables: the Complete Package of Training Guides and Manuals.
Led by CCIS, with contributions from all project partners, this deliverable represents an important milestone in the development of innovative educational resources designed to strengthen higher education and professional training in the field of juvenile justice.
A central component of the project is the development of two pioneering curricula in Correctional Pedagogy, among the first of their kind in Europe. Adopting an interdisciplinary and pedagogy-first approach, the curricula integrate perspectives from education, law, psychology, and the social sciences to support the preparation of professionals working with children and young people in contact with the justice system. Their development is being carried out in close collaboration with partner universities and relevant stakeholders to ensure academic quality, practical relevance, and long-term sustainability.
The CORE-ED Academy project is coordinated by Luarasi University and implemented in partnership with the International University of Sarajevo, AAB College, UBT, University of Montenegro, READLAB, Center for Promoting Lifelong Learning, Center for Comparative and International Studies (CCIS), University of the Aegean, West University of Timișoara, and Universiteti Mesdhetar i Shqipërisë.
