EDUFAIR entered higher education in Albania and Kosovo the way AI usually does: through students, academics and administrators experimenting with new tools, often faster than institutions could build the policies to guide them. CCIS Albania, EDUFAIR’s partner for Quality Assurance and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, reflects on what has changed so far.

Based on WP2 training evaluation data, the results point to real progress: 92% of participants found the training relevant to their role, 88% reported confidence in applying AI afterwards, and over half intend to bring it into their daily work, in administration (60.5%), teaching (57.9%) and research (53.9%). Almost 90% also said the training strengthened their understanding of ethical AI use, from privacy, copyright and bias to academic integrity and the reliability of AI-generated information.
