ENGAGEUROPE: Political CSI: Operation Brussels

How can young citizens turn community concerns into meaningful political change?

As part of the international project ENGAGEUROPE, young citizens, student activists, and volunteers took part in a three-session online educational series exploring how data-driven advocacy can strengthen civic participation and influence policymaking.

Led by Marinella M., participants explored campaign strategies, advocacy goals, and the role of evidence in driving change. With training by dr. sc. JOSIPA LULIĆ and a case study presented by Jesmina Sengla (SCiDEV), participants explored inclusive participation, grassroots organizing, and rapid-response advocacy through practical exercises.

In Political CSI: Operation Brussels participants researched Members of the European Parliament, examined their committee positions and voting records, and developed tailored advocacy messages through an interactive simulation.

🚀 What’s next? Participants will apply their newly acquired skills through local citizen consultations and grassroots advocacy activities, supported by ongoing mentorship from the project consortium. Because meaningful democratic change starts with listening to citizens — and knowing how to turn their voices into action.

ENGAGEUROPE project is led by SCiDEV (Albania), in partnership with Universiteti i Shkodrës Luigj Gurakuqi (Albania), Asociación cultural YOUROPÍA (Spain), CCIS Albania , umhcg_aydm (Montenegro), solucija_bckp (North Macedonia), yihr_cro (Croatia), youtheducationalforum (North Macedonia), and inicijativa (Serbia).
