On 30 June 2025, the Center for Comparative and International Studies (CCIS), in collaboration with SCiDEV and the Mediterranean Center, organized a youth-led consultation in Tirana as part of the Youth Observer Model – A Cross Regional Predictive Model for Youth Policy Shaping project.
The consultation brought together Youth Observers, representatives of public institutions, and civil society organizations to discuss some of the most pressing challenges affecting young people in Albania and the wider region.
The discussions focused on three key policy areas:
• Youth Mental Health
• The Youth Guarantee in Albania
• Brain Drain and Youth Migration
During the consultation, participants presented evidence-based findings, shared their experiences, and proposed recommendations aimed at strengthening youth policies and improving institutional responses to the needs of young people. The contributions gathered throughout the consultation informed the development of policy papers that seek to support more inclusive, participatory, and evidence-based policymaking.
The event reflects the project’s commitment to empowering young people as active contributors to public policy and fostering structured dialogue between youth, public institutions, and civil society.
