Recent findings from the EDUFAIR WP2 Training Programme show encouraging signs of impact across participating higher education institutions.
More than 92% of participants considered the training relevant or highly relevant to their professional role, while 88% reported a high level of confidence in applying AI after the training. Participants also identified concrete opportunities for AI integration across university administration, teaching and research.
Just as importantly, almost 90% positively assessed the training’s contribution to their understanding of ethical AI use, highlighting issues such as privacy, copyright, plagiarism, bias, academic integrity and the reliability of AI-generated information.
These results suggest that the conversation is already moving beyond “What can AI do?” towards “How can we use it effectively and responsibly?”
Through capacity building, practical application and a stronger focus on ethical governance, EDUFAIR is supporting universities in Albania and Kosovo in moving from individual experimentation towards more structured and institutionally governed AI use.
The real impact will be seen in what comes next: how knowledge is translated into institutional practice, ethical guidelines and a sustainable culture of responsible AI use in higher education.
