Youth Observers | National Kick-off Meeting

Youth Observers | National Kick-off Meeting

On 13 December 2024, the #CCIS team welcomed the newly selected Youth Policy Observers (Y-Os) as part of the Youth Observer Model project.

Bringing together young representatives from academia, civil society, media, the private sector, and youth and political organizations, the meeting marked the beginning of a collaborative journey aimed at strengthening meaningful youth participation in policymaking.

The discussions focused on key priorities for youth engagement, including:

• Democratic participation and dialogue with decision-makers.
• Democracy, the rule of law, and European values.
• Regional cooperation and cross-border collaboration.
• The role of young people in shaping evidence-based public policies.

Throughout the project, participants will strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in policy analysis, leadership, advocacy, and civic engagement while collaborating with peers from Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Italy. By combining learning, networking, and regional cooperation, the initiative seeks to empower young people to become active contributors to policymaking processes and democratic governance.

CCIS is pleased to support this new generation of Youth Observers and looks forward to following their journey throughout the project.
