Presentation of 2023 Population and Housing Census Final Results at District and Municipal Levels by INSTAT
On October 31, 2024, the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) held a seminar to present the final results of the 2023 Population and Housing Census at the district and municipal levels.This event, hosted at Hotel Tirana, brought together key figures including Mr. Arbjan Mazniku, Minister of State for Local Governance, representatives from the United Nations in Albania, the European Delegation, municipal representatives, and various donors.
During the seminar, INSTAT unveiled final census data, offering valuable insights into the population count, housing statistics, household size, and other crucial local indicators. The methodology behind data collection and dissemination was also shared, emphasizing transparency and accuracy.
CCIS was honored to participate in this roundtable as a non-state actor, representing civil society and supporting the use of statistics for good governance in Albania. We found the results enlightening and look forward to their impact on local policy development!
