On 23–24 June 2026, the first regional training for municipal councillors was held in Tirana, bringing together representatives from the municipalities of Tirana, Durrës, Shijak, Krujë, Kamëz, Vorë, Kavajë, Dibër, Bulqizë, Mat, and Klos.
Delivered by CCIS trainers Lorena Totoni and Eneida Marku, the training focused on strengthening the role of municipal councils in strategic policymaking, local planning, budgeting, oversight, and evidence-based decision-making.
Through interactive sessions and peer exchange, participants explored practical approaches to improving local governance, reinforcing accountability, and enhancing the effectiveness of municipal councils in addressing local development priorities.
CCIS is pleased to contribute to strengthening the capacities of local elected representatives and promoting good governance through knowledge sharing, institutional cooperation, and continuous professional development.
