The COST Action “Comparative Research on the Executive Triangle in Europe (CoREx)”

Today in Brussels, CCIS participated in the kick-off meeting as the Committee member for the COST Action “The Action Comparative Research on the Executive Triangle in Europe (CoREx). The Center for Comparative and International Studies is a dedicated participant in advancing Albania’s European integration journey. Our European Vision is a comprehensive, multifaceted process that enriches our society, fosters collaboration, and enhances research capabilities. We prioritise strengthening connections with European research networks and institutions, actively partnering with prestigious organisations and universities across various domains, including social sciences, technology, sustainability, and innovation. As part of this mission, we are proud to be a member of COST Action “The Action Comparative Research on the Executive Triangle in Europe (CoREx),” supported by the EU. This initiative critically examines the relationships among executive politicians, top civil servants, and ministerial advisers—the executive triangle—from a global comparative perspective, addressing a critical knowledge gap that affects democratic governance’s core components, including the legitimacy of political decisions and the government’s capacity to tackle complex policy challenges. Our contribution to systematic comparative knowledge of the executive triangle is a significant step towards a better understanding of democratic governance, especially in challenging times.

European Year of Skills 2023

We at CCIS belive and promote through our projects that having a workforce with the skills that are in demand contributes to sustainable growth, leads to more innovation and improves companies’ competitiveness. Skilled workers enjoy better job opportunities as well as broader possibilities to fully engage in society. This is key to ensure that the economic recovery as well as the green and digital transitions are socially fair and just.

The European Year of Skills 2023 puts skills centre-stage. Helping people get the right skills for quality jobs and helping companies, in particular small and medium enterprises, address skills shortages in the EU is what this Year is all about.

How? By showcasing skills development opportunities and activities across Europe, by fostering easier recognition of qualifications across borders, by bringing organisations and people together to share their experiences and insights, and setting out how EU initiatives and funding possibilities can help.

Events and awareness-raising campaigns will happen across the EU.

CCIS will be among them.

Get inspired, get involved, get skilled.

Social Media Training

Social media remains an important communicative tool and we now know more about these platforms than ever before.

CCIS staff joint 25 other international NGOs in a social media training with IRI Press Secretary Austin Akers who lead a discussion on leveraging your social media presence to optimize outreach, including messaging across platforms, combating mis- and disinformation and understanding algorithms.

Society begins with Women’s Rights!

CCIS was part of the conference “Society begins with Women’s rights” organized by the WAW Organization, headquartered in Geneva and Mrs. @MirelaMezani, in cooperation with the national and international Board. This conference was held in 29.04.2023  at Hotel Adriatic Durrës. All the panelists, with their greetings, conveyed powerful messages about the great role of women in society, facing different challenges in the life of every woman, especially successes achieved by Albanian women in emigration. The event also provided an exhibition of handicrafts and promotional opportunities to the participants in the event.

CCIS was honored to be represented by Nevila Sokoli Xhindi to speak and convey the message in a large auditorium with dozens of women and men from many countries of the world, that CCIS has implemented many projects to empower women and their leadership in Albania

Thanks, WAW!

Many thanks to all the organizers, and Hotel Adriatiku for the hospitality.

Together we make beautiful things of great value!
