TO SUPPORT AND GUIDE TEAMS OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ALBANIA ON PARTICIPATION IN DECISION MAKING THOUGH DIGITAL MOBILITY

Currently CCIS is implemented a project financed by the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO): “Hacking Participation in the Balkans – Innovative ways of empowering Balkans youth to impact policy making processes” (HPiB). In this regard, CCIS is looking to engage two mentors in Albania to support teams of youth on participation in decision making through digital mobility.

RYCO project – A unified agenda for youth

Erida Curraj, our Project Coordinator, attended RYCO meeting with Members of Parliament organised by RYCO in Tirana: A unified agenda for youth. RYCO organized the first meeting of the selected Members of Parliaments (MPs) of the Western Balkans within the program Strengthening Political Support for the Regional Youth Cooperation Office. Partner organisations and representatives from selected projects joined the discussions and suggested ideas for the future of youth in Western Balkans.

CCIS at RYCO Pilot Capacity Building Training

Erida Curraj, our Project Coordinator, attended RYCO’s Pilot Capacity Building Training in Podgorica together with the representatives of 34 civil society organizations and high schools from the region, the lead applicants of the shortlisted project within the first RYCO Open Call.

The main aims of the training were to create a common understanding and common ground among the participants regarding RYCO in general, and more specifically, regarding the values of RYCO and the quality of the future projects. Moreover, the training aimed to live together an intercultural exchange and to enhance contact and exchange among the participants as project organizers and between them and RYCO and its representatives, but also to identify and to address key challenges for the organization of youth exchange in the Western Balkans and to jointly discuss approaches to deal with these challenges in order to ensure the quality of the future RYCO-projects.

CCIS and RYCO – Project Contract Signed

CCIS signed the contract with RYCO for the implementation of the project “Hacking Participation in the Balkans”. HPiB is one of the five projects that will be implemented in Albania with the support of RYCO, and it aims to enable Albanian and Serbian youth to impact policy and decision-making processes through active participation and better understanding of national and regional frameworks. Fostering digital mobility is another aim of the project as a long-term cooperation tool among WB6 youth.

Focused discussion session with women owners and managers in existing companies for Elbasan

In the framework of the project: “Microenterprise development project for women in the cross-border area” funded from the European Union through the Delegation to the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Project Application nr: IPA/2016/152956-2/23 and contract number IPA/2017/395-121, the Center for Comparative and International Studies organized in Librazhd in July 27, 2018 a focused group discussion session with women owners and managers in existing companies.

The project team of the Center for Comparative and International Studies was engaged to prepare and conduct discussion session with women owners and managers in existing companies in order to attract the interest of women and build the confidence between the project team and the targeted groups.

There were 25 participants, women managers and small business owners.

This focused discussion session with women owners of small businesses and managers in existing companies targeted problems and actual constraints in the business as well as possibilities for finding way out of this situation.

Topics such as problem in increase of production, marketing, and possibilities for trade and access to funding etc. were encompassed, as well as general obstacles in doing business.

Good speakers were invited and a useful discussion was conducted base on the idea to attract as many women as possible with interest for the project and compile a pool of candidate for the program.

Inception Meeting in Elbasan

In the framework of the project: “Microenterprise development project for women in the cross-border area” funded from the European Union through the Delegation to the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Project Application nr: IPA/2016/152956-2/23 and contract number IPA/2017/395-121, the Center for Comparative and International Studies  organized in Elbasan in July 25, 2018 the inception meeting.

The project team of the Center for Comparative and International Studies was engaged to prepare and conduct inception meeting in Elbasan with potential women entrepreneurs in order to attract the interest of women and build the basic confidence between the project team and the targeted groups.

The target group was 25 women future entrepreneurs. Therefore, the discussions was addressed to key obstacles for women and the way out to build competences, start its own economic initiatives and provide substantial change.

Good speakers were invited and a useful discussion was conducted base on the idea to attract as many women as possible with interest for the project and compile a pool of candidate for the program.
