On 28 and 29 November, Albania commemorates two defining moments in its history—the Declaration of Independence and Liberation Day—which reflect the country’s enduring commitment to freedom, sovereignty, and democratic values.

The Center for Comparative and International Studies (CCIS) joins in celebrating these national occasions while reaffirming its commitment to advancing democratic governance, evidence-based policymaking, inclusive development, and international cooperation in support of Albania’s future.

As we honour the achievements and sacrifices that have shaped the nation’s history, we also recognise the importance of continuing to build resilient institutions, promote active citizenship, and create opportunities for sustainable and inclusive development.
