International Day of Women and Girls in Science | Advancing Inclusion in Research and Innovation

On 11 February, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science highlights the importance of ensuring equal opportunities for women and girls to participate in scientific research, innovation, and technological development.

The Center for Comparative and International Studies (CCIS) recognises that strengthening the participation of women and girls in science, technology, and innovation is essential for advancing sustainable development, evidence-based policymaking, and inclusive societies.

Through its research, capacity-building initiatives, and international projects, CCIS supports opportunities that empower girls and young women to develop leadership skills, strengthen digital competencies, promote digital rights, and actively contribute to research, innovation, and public decision-making.

On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting gender equality in science and creating environments where women and girls can fully participate, lead, and contribute to shaping the future of knowledge and innovation.
